Terrified Passengers Huddle in Helium Balloon as Winds Whip Popular Tourist Ride Over City

Nineteen passengers were crouched inside the basket of a gigantic helium balloon flying hundreds of feet in the sky over Berlin as winds whipped the tourist attraction back and forth over the city.

The ride's operator was also inside the basket, directing the passengers to get down as he attempted to safely bring the balloon back to the ground.

One bystander captured video showing how the wind pushed the balloon back and forth across the sky.

As crowds gathered below, the steel cables tethering the ride to the ground slowly reeled in the large balloon, eventually reaching the base.

First-responders were on the scene to check out the passengers. No injuries were reported; however, a few of the riders were treated for shock.
