Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump tweeted Wednesday that he will meet with the National Rifle Association to discuss a gun control proposal.
“I will be meeting with the NRA, who has endorsed me, about not allowing people on the terrorist watch list, or the no fly list, to buy guns,” the tweet said.

Trump’s announcement that he will discuss the proposal with the NRA follows a terrorist attack at a gay nightclub in Orlando, Florida, Sunday. The attack, which left 49 people dead and 53 injured, was the worst mass shooting in American history.
The NRA did not immediately return TheBlaze’s request for comment. A Trump campaign spokeswoman declined to comment on the meeting.
The NRA responded to Trump's tweet:
Happy to meet @realdonaldtrump. Our position is no guns for terrorists—period. Due process & right to self-defense for law-abiding Americans

The NRA endorsed Trump for president last month.
This post has been updated to include a tweet from the NRA.
