The world watched Cavaliers forward and NBA superstar LeBron James play on of the best games of his life Sunday night, ending the 52-year major sports championship drought in Cleveland with a Game 7 victory.

James pulled through for his city in a big way, closing out the series with 27 points, 11 assists and 11 rebounds.

Forward Steph Curry, the first unanimous MVP in league history, was expected to lead the Golden State Warriors to their second consecutive championship win.

When that didn’t happen, not even Curry’s father was spared the humiliation that followed.

As disappointed fans cleared Oakland’s Oracle Arena, one young man approached Dell Curry, extending his arm for a handshake. But as Mr. Curry raised his hand, the fan instead dabbed on him.

The blatant sign of disrespect left the elder Curry looking confused and agitated.
