Michelle Fields: Lewandowski Would Have Been 'Detrimental to the Country' If He Made it to the White House

"This is someone who has pushed reporters, yanked my arm, who has said awful things to women."

Ex-Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields, who was infamously grabbed by Corey Lewandowski several months ago, said Monday she feels "vindicated" by the the former campaign manager's firing.

Fields told Fox News host Megyn Kelly that, though she never wants to see someone lose their job, she feels it would be "detrimental to the country" if someone like Lewandowski was ever to work from the White House because of the behavior he has displayed.

"This is someone who has pushed reporters, yanked my arm, who has said awful things to women, has a terrible history — I don't think that's the type of person we want in the White House," she told "The Kelly File" host.

Following those comments, Kelly briefly mentioned that she, too, had been threatened by Lewandowski, but offered no additional details.

Moving forward, Fields said Trump needs to surround himself with "veteran" advisors and people who "understand how to run a national campaign," adding that, in her view, Lewanadowski was "pretty much a body man."

At the end of their discussion, the Fox News anchor asked Fields, who know reports for the Huffington Post, if she feels "vindicated" by Lewandowski's ouster.

"I do feel vindicated," Fields replied with a smile. "I think that when you're a bad person, you do bad things, eventually, there are consequences. With Corey, there's finally consequences for what he did. He defamed me."

Fields added that the ex-campaign manager "shook" her life, noting the fact that she resigned her position at Breitbart.
