Former NFL Star Tim Tebow Takes a ‘Stand for God’ During Dramatic Situation on Flight
June 28, 2016
"I have to share this story..."
Former NFL star Tim Tebow made a "stand for God" when a dramatic scene unfolded on flight he was traveling on.
Richard Gotti, who was also on the flight from Atlanta to Phoenix, captured the former football player praying with others on the plane after a man began having heart problems and became unconscious.
"I have to share this story," Gotti wrote in a Facebook post Sunday, which has now been shared more than 10,000 times.
"I watched strangers from all over the world and every ethnicity come to the help of this man for over an hour! Whether it was chest compressions, starting an IV, helping breathe life into this man, or praying, everyone helped!" Gotti recalled of the incident.
Gotti said he heard "shock after shock" from the AED machine, but that the man still had no pulse. Meanwhile, others on the plane simply began praying. And among the individuals who lifted the man up in prayer was Tebow.
"He met with the family as they cried on his shoulder! I watched Tim pray with the entire section of the plane for this man. He made a stand for God in a difficult situation," Gotti wrote.
Gotti added that once the plane landed in Phoenix, the man's pulse did come back.
Delta Airlines spokesman Brian Kruse told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that paramedics rushed to the aircraft once it touched down.
One woman wrote on Instagram that she sat directly behind Tebow. She said he helped the family with their baggage as they exited the plane.
