Republican nominee Donald Trump on Friday afternoon made a bold prediction about November's presidential election — vowing that the results will shock the world like the United Kingdom's exit from the European Union.
"We will win," said Trump, who's trailing in the polls with less than three weeks until Election Day on Nov. 8.
"We will shock the world," he said, adding, "This is going to be Brexit Plus. Brexit Plus."
In June, British voters chose leave the European Union — which shocked investors and had a ripple effect throughout global economic markets.
The vote surprised many political watchers and was seen as a populist refutation of government overreach — a dynamic that Trump has tried to echo in his presidential campaign.
