Trump campaign advisor slams Megyn Kelly after heated interview with Newt Gingrich
October 25, 2016
"Watch what happens to her after this election is over."
Donald Trump's campaign didn't miss a beat, firing back Tuesday night at Fox News host Megyn Kelly after she engaged in a particularly tense interview with former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, a top advisor to the Republican presidential nominee.
Kelly's conversation with Gingrich, who was on the shortlist to be Trump's running mate, soured when the Fox anchor raised concerns about women who claim to be victims of Trump's unwanted sexual advances. In response, the former lawmaker said Kelly is "fascinated with sex."
As the bombshell segment between the pair began making its rounds on the internet and on competing news networks, Dan Scavino, Jr., Trump's senior social media advisor, took to Twitter to trash Kelly, suggesting she will be irrelevant after the presidential election is over next month.
.@MegynKelly made a total fool out of herself tonight- attacking @realDonaldTrump. Watch what happens to her after this election is over.

.@NewtGingrich just destroyed @MegynKelly. Shows she is totally biased against Mr. Trump & not very smart. Mr. Trump has long known!!

The conversation between Kelly and Gingrich seemed to take a turn for the nasty when the Fox host asked about allegations that could paint Trump as a "sexual predator."
Gingrich, arguing Kelly doesn't spend enough time talking about Hillary Clinton, charged, "You are fascinated with sex and you don’t care about public policy. That’s what I get out of watching you tonight!"
Though Kelly noted she has spent time discussing revelations about the Democratic presidential nominee found in emails stolen by WikiLeaks, Gingrich was still unsatisfied, telling Kelly, "I’m sick and tired of people like you using language that’s inflammatory that’s not true."
Trump, for his part, has denied all the allegations against him and pledged earlier this week to file lawsuits against every woman who claims to have been assaulted by him.
