In wake of UN conflict, John Kerry will deliver speech on Middle East peace

U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will deliver a speech on peace in the Middle East tomorrow morning, the State Department announced today.

The speech comes on the heels of a controversy over the U.S.'s response to United Nations Security Council Resolution 2334, which bans Israel from continuing to build settlements on land claimed by the Palestinians.

The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a key part of what Kerry will address, a spokesman said.

"In his speech, the secretary will lay out a comprehensive vision for how he believes the conflict can be resolved in the Middle East," State Department spokesman Mark Toner announced today.

Kerry will make the address from the State Department on Wednesday morning, and it will be livestreamed on the State Department's website.
