Oklahoma family's presents stolen two days before Christmas — so responding officer offers a hand

A would-be Grinch tried — and failed — to steal Christmas from an Oklahoma family.

Two days before Christmas, an unknown thief broke into Crystal Sparks' home in Coweta, Oklahoma, and stole everything from beneath the family's Christmas tree, including the presents Sparks' had already bought for her two youngest sons.

But one responding officer wasn't about to let the thief steal this family's cheer. One of the police officers felt so bad for the boys, that he went to Walmart and bought new presents for the boys to open on Christmas morning.

"The kids, they lit up when they were opening these gifts and it made our hearts feel really good," Sgt. Scott Fraley with the Coweta Police Department, told KFOR-TV. We hurt with them but then we were happy all at the same time."

Police in Oklahoma are still looking for the person who broke into Sparks' home and stole the presents.
