Black Lives Matter activist and New York Daily News columnist Shaun King took to Twitter Monday morning to pose "a few serious, but wild questions" about how to legally get rid of Republican President Donald Trump:
Given that King is the Daily News' senior justice writer, you'd assume he'd have some idea of how the process works. But never fear, other Twitter users offered some help — albeit the none-too-kind sort:
.@ShaunKing Just spit-balling here, but you might find the answer to your question within the #Constitution. Again, just spit-balling.— Mark Langford (@Mark Langford) 1488811484.0
@ShaunKing What would it take for sore losers to get over their butt hurt and participate in making this country great?— AmericanDreamer (@AmericanDreamer) 1488813274.0
@ShaunKing have you really never read the Constitution? Why aren't you serving fries at McDonalds?— Deputy Mark (@Deputy Mark) 1488815670.0
@ShaunKing better question: how does a "senior justice writer" get away with not having read the constitution?— Perez Holden (@Perez Holden) 1488816535.0
Unfortunately for King, impeachment or being declared unable to discharge duties under the 25th amendment are the only legal avenues for removing Trump from office.
