Pandemonium breaks out at Maxine Waters' town hall when Trump protesters arrive
June 26, 2017
Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) has been an outspoken critic of President Donald Trump, but the tables were reversed when the president's vehement supporters showed up at her town hall event Saturday. Videos from social media showed the resulting pandemonium.
A video from the event showed a female protester being ushered out of the event, which was in Gardena, California. Representative Waters led her supporters in a minutes-long chant of "impeach 45!" as the protester was led out.

A Los Angeles Times reporter says Rep. Waters closed with the leftist slogan, "stay woke."
The protester holds a sign that reads, "Impeach Mad Max," referring to Rep. Maxine Waters. Another male protester appears to be wearing a red "Make America Great Again" hat while holding up the same sign.
In a video posted on YouTube by a Trump supporter, a message from the organizers of the event is shown, with an explanation as to why some people were allowed inside and others were kept out.
"A Message from Congresswoman Maxine Waters (CA-43)," it reads. "Thank you for your interest in our upcoming Town Hall meeting in Gardena, this Saturday, June 24th. Unfortunately, due to the high interest in the town hall and the large number of RSVPs we have received, far surpassing the facility’s capacity, priority seating within the venue will be given to resident of the 43rd Congressional District."
"We have reserved an overflow space for those who do not live in the 43rd District but who are interested in attending nonetheless," it continued. "Based on the address you provided on EventBrite, your residence is not within the 43rd District. Accordingl y [sic] while you will not be admitted to the Nakaoka Community Center, you will have access to the overflow area outside of the building from where you will be able to hear the program."
A video from outside the event shows shows dozens of protesters demanding, "let us in!" There is a strong police presence keeping them out of the town hall.

In another video, a woman identified as Chanell Temple in the L.A. Times screams into a megaphone outside the event, "you have destroyed the black community! You are a black racist, you hate blacks! All the jobs went to illegals! You gave our jobs to illegals!"
"We want you out. You're paying with taxpayer's money and you're giving jobs to illegals!" she continued.

"She has destroyed the black community with illegal immigration!" Temple said into a microphone later, "I lost my job because I did not speak Spanish in my country because of people like Maxine Waters! Nobody is representing blacks! We are American citizens, we have a right to work in our own country! You know that they have destroyed the black community, and you do nothing!"
Waters' open calls for impeachment of Trump appeared to be rebuffed by House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) who recently said that the president could not be impeached simply because the opposing party disliked him.
