He gets in face of security guard at shopping mall. Guard shoves him — then all hell breaks loose.
December 11, 2017
A large group of juveniles apparently just couldn't accept that a Mississippi shopping mall was closed for the night Friday, as video shows them gathering around the entrance — and prompting a call from mall security to police.
Then one guy walked up to a guard and got in his face at the entrance of the Mall at Barnes Crossing in Tupelo.

The guard, however, was having none of it — and shoved the male backward. The male appeared to punch the security guard in response, and with that a wrestling match ensued.

A couple of guards were seen on the clip trying to subdue the male as other youths shouted out and got up close to the fight.

Eventually, the guy was handcuffed and then dragged inside the mall.

Drew Smith, 18, was charged with three misdemeanor counts of failing to comply, the station said, citing Lee County Sheriff's Department records. A judge set bond at $3,200, WTVA-TV reported.

A female sustained an injured leg, the station said, but Tupelo police said they don't know how the injury happened. The female wasn't hospitalized but waited in an ambulance until her parents arrived, WTVA added.
