Knife-wielding man tries stealing woman's purse — but even amid getting cut, victim fights back

A knife-wielding man was caught on surveillance video trying to steal a woman's purse in Queens, New York, on Monday night — but the victim fought back, police told WCBS-TV.
The suspect followed the 39-year-old woman into the vestibule of her building in the area of 76th Street and 35th Avenue, the station said.

But when the suspect tried grabbing the woman's purse, she fought back, WCBS reported.

As the pair tugged on the purse, the woman actually managed to get her attacker back outside the building where police told the station she screamed for help.
That got the attention of a good Samaritan who came to her aid, WCBS said.
What happened to the victim?
The woman suffered a small cut her left hand and was treated on the scene by EMS workers, the station said.
What happened to the suspect?
Police are still looking for attacker, WCBS said, who left the scene empty-handed.
