'A badge of honor': George Santos prepares for expulsion from Congress, claims colleagues have drunken sex with lobbyists

New York Representative George Santos recently went on a tirade amid a likely expulsion from the House of Representatives. Santos has been riddled with scandals since he made it into Congress.

During an X Space that was put on by Monica Matthews — a conservative media personality — Santos suggested that he would likely be expelled from the House of Representatives when members soon vote on the matter, according to Business Insider.

However, it appears Santos does not care if he is expelled from the House, saying, "You want to expel me? I'll wear it like a badge of honor. I'll be the sixth expelled member of Congress in the history of Congress. And guess what? I'll be the only one expelled without a conviction."

The comment was just one of several inflammatory statements made about his colleagues, with Bryan Metzger of Business Insider posting to X, writing: "From George Santos's diatribe on @monicaonairtalk's Space tonight: He calls Ethics Committee chair @RepMichaelGuest a 'p***y,' mocks Guest's home state (Mississippi), describes his colleagues as corrupt philanderers, and says he'll wear expulsion 'like a badge of honor.'"

Spokespeople for Rep. Guest's camp did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

But Santos did not stop there. He went on to suggest that his colleagues were not doing their jobs and characterized them as "hypocrties," adding that many in Congress spend a lot of time cheating on their spouses.

"I have colleagues who are more worried about getting drunk every night with the next lobbyist that they're gonna screw and pretend like none of us know what's going on, and sell off the American people, not show up to vote because they're too hungover or whatever the reason is, or not show up to vote at all and just give their card out like f***ing candy for someone else to vote for them," Santos said.

"This s**t happens every single week," he said. "Where are the ethics investigations?"

Santos is apparently not seeking to get re-elected. NBC News reported that spent much of his campaign funds to live a luxury life, including "trips to casinos, shopping at high-end retailers and even Botox treatments and OnlyFans payments."

The House Ethics Committee address Santos' conduct during the investigation, saying that the congressman has largely been uncooperative.

At the time of this report, Santos' claims about his colleagues cheating on their spouses have not been proven.
