Police say that a Washington Arby's night manager was caught on video urinating into a supply of the franchise store's milkshake mix.
The manager, identified as Stephen Sharp, has also been charged with four counts related to child pornography.
What are the details?
Sharp reportedly admitted to urinating at least twice in the company's milkshake mixture, Insider has reported.
He told authorities that he did it for "sexual gratification" and is "almost sure" that he discarded the contaminated mix — but that if he hadn't, it would have been served up the next business day after the purported incident.
Police said that they initially obtained surveillance footage that showed the suspect urinating in the mix after an investigation alleged that Sharp possessed and sold "dozens" of photos and videos related to the "sexual exploitation of children."
He reportedly confessed to downloading and distributing such content.
The New York Post reported that Sharp downloaded the content on at least one occasion while inside the restaurant. The outlet added that no other employees are believed to have known about the contaminated milkshake mix.
What else is there to know about this?
A spokesperson for the company told KTTV-TV that the manager's behavior was "abhorrent and unacceptable."
"We have taken immediate action with the franchise group who terminated the former employee and is fully cooperating with the authorities in their investigation," the spokesperson said.
KTTV added that police are asking any customers who may have purchased a milkshake from the Arby’s at 221 NE 104 Avenue in Vancouver, Washington, on Oct. 30 or 31, 2021, to contact them.
Sharp was charged with four counts of possession of depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, four counts of dealing depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and assault.
An investigation into the incidents is under way.
