Shot teen called 911
Some people still haven't awakened to the harsh reality that lots of American citizens are exercising their right to arm themselves — and those who attempt to do them harm are going to pay the price.
What went down?
For today's installment of Clueless Crooks, we take you to Charlotte, North Carolina, where a woman decided to stop at an ATM at 2:30 a.m. Wednesday.
The woman told police a group of five individuals tried to rob her at gunpoint while she was in her vehicle at the ATM on Beatties Ford Road near Montana Drive, WBTV-TV reported.

Thing is, this woman also had a gun — and police said she shot a 17-year-old in self-defense, the station noted.
What happened to the teen?
The teen later called 911 and told police he'd had been shot, WBTV reported. Officers found him behind a church next to the ATM, WSOC-TV reported.

He was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, WBTV said.
What now?
Police told WBTV they're working to determine if the shooting was justified.
