17-year-old superstar JoJo Siwa says she’s ‘pansexual’: ‘I still don’t know what I am’

'It's like, I want to figure it out'

JoJo Siwa, a 17-year-old dancer, singer, and actress, says she's "pansexual" after coming out as a member of the LGBTQ+ community in January.

What are the details?

In a new cover story with People, JoJo said that she was reluctant to "label" herself when she first decided to come out, but later revealed that she's very happy in her relationship with her 18-year-old girlfriend, Kylie Prew.

"I still don't know what I am," she admitted. "It's like, I want to figure it out. And I have this joke. Her name is Kylie. And so I say that I'm Ky-sexual. But like, I don't know, bisexual, pansexual, queer, lesbian, gay, straight."

The 17-year-old added, "I always just say 'gay' because it just kind of covers it or 'queer' because I think the keyword is cool."

"I like 'queer,'" she added. "Technically, I would say that I'm pansexual, because that's how I have always been my whole life, is just like, my human is my human. And if that person happened to be a boy, great, and if that person happened to be a girl, great!"

What else?

Pop star Demi Lovato, 28, also recently came out as pansexual, and in a recent interview, said that she's attracted to "anything, really."

Of her newly accepted sexuality, Lovato said, "I'm so fluid now, and a part of the reason why I am so fluid is because I was, like, super closeted off."

She also said that it was only when she broke off her engagement to actor Max Ehrich that she realized the full scope of her pansexuality.

"Regardless if drama is happening or not, I am too gay to marry a man right now," she said at the time. "I don't know if that will change in 10 years and I don't know if that'll never change, but I love accepting myself.

"I've always known I was hella queer, but I have fully embraced it," Lovato concluded.
