Naked man beats delivery man to death with firewood he was delivering in freezing temperatures, Texas police say

A man who was delivering firewood to a residence was attacked and beaten to death by a naked man with the pieces of wood, according to Texas police.

51-year-old Scotty Jackson was hired by a homeowner to bring firewood to a home in Fort Worth in a U-haul, but when he arrived, 27-year-old Christantus Omondi confronted him and attacked him, according to court documents.

The homeowner was outside in the freezing temperatures helping Jackson but was able to escape Omondi's attack.

"This naked man is three inches from my face, holding a key up to me yelling at me that I was on his property. He never wants to see me again. I should leave," he continued. "Scott then replied, ‘No, this is his property and his house. Just let us unload firewood because it’s cold outside.’"

He said that Omondi chased him into his home and dumped a wheelbarrow on top of Jackson.

After the homeowner went into his home, he said he watched as Omondi repeatedly bludgeoned Jackson with pieces of wood.

"Fully believe with my whole heart that he was out to murder both of us," said the man who didn't want to be identified.

Police responded to calls of an assault, and when they arrived at the house, they said they found Jackson with "severe blunt force trauma" to his head and neck.

According to another witness, Omondi went back to an AirBNB he was renting and confronted a woman in the laundry room.

"I'll beat your a**," he allegedly told her. "I'm going to f*** you up."

Omondi was trying to force his way into her room when police showed up. They said that he was "non-compliant and aggressive," and they were forced to use a taser to subdue him.

Police said the homeowner's account is corroborated by video surveillance and accounts from other witnesses.

The victim's daughter Kasey DeLeon told KDFW-TV that he had spoiled her and her daughters.

"I’ll never be able to call my dad again. I’ll never be able to see him. At this moment, I have so much hate and so much anger," she said.

"I just hope that justice is served," DeLeon added. "That’s all I want for my dad."
