Republicans subpoena FBI file allegedly detailing how Biden sold US policy for cash as part of 'criminal scheme' involving foreign national

The Biden Department of Justice and the FBI are reportedly in possession of a document that details a possible "criminal scheme" involving then-Vice President Joe Biden's collusion with a foreign national.

According to a reportedly reputable whistleblower, the document in question allegedly provides specific details about how Biden did the bidding of a foreign national, delivering requested policy decisions in exchange for cash.

House Oversight Committee chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Republican Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) are now demanding that the FBI produce the record in question, having issued a subpoena to that effect.

The Republican duo penned a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland Wednesday, noting that on the basis of "legally protected and highly credible unclassified whistleblower disclosures ... it has come to our attention that the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) possess an unclassified FD-1023 form."

An FD-1023 form is a document used by the FBI to record interviews with whistleblowers and other sources.

According to Comer and Grassley, the form contains "valuable, verifiable information" describing "an alleged criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Biden and a foreign national relating to the exchange of money for policy decisions."

In addition to a broad outline of impropriety, the record allegedly "includes a precise description of how the alleged criminal scheme was employed as well as its purpose."

Grassley and Comer suggested in their letter that owing to the document's alleged specificity, it would be a simple matter for the DOJ and FBI to make some determinations as to its veracity.

Noting that the Biden DOJ and FBI have a track record of "allowing political bias to infect their decision-making process," the Republican duo seeks to "conduct an independent and objective review of this matter, free from those agencies' influence," apparently doubtful that anything would otherwise be done about the allegations.

The New York Post indicated that the document sought by the Oversight Committee was "created or modified in June 2020" and must be provided by noon on May 10.

In a separate statement, Grassley reiterated his concern over the federal agencies' apparent deference to the incumbent president, stressing, "The FBI’s recent history of botching politically charged investigations demands close congressional oversight."

Comer stated, "The American people need to know if President Biden sold out the United States of America to make money for himself."

The Post indicated that the foreign nation embroiled in this particular Biden scandal is not China.

Neither the FBI nor the DOJ have provided any comment beyond noting that they had received the subpoena and letter.

Up until now, the Oversight Committee has been looking into Hunter Biden's questionable dealings and the president's possible hand in them. This document, however, reportedly features Joe Biden playing a central role.
