Critics say Skittles will get the 'Bud Light treatment' over pro-transgender message on packaging

A partnership between Skittles and the Gay Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation is evidenced by a new message on candy packages expressing support for the LGBTQ agenda.

Photographs of the new marketing campaign began showing up on social media on Friday.

In one posted by the popular Libs of TikTok account, several figures are skateboarding on a ramp that includes the messages "Black Trans Lives Matter" and "Joy is Resistance."

Another package documented at the Daily Mail showed the message "Be Generous With Your Love."

Critics compared the marketing stunt to the catastrophic campaign that tanked Bud Light sales after Anheuser-Busch partnered with a transgender influencer in defiance of its traditional customer base.

"Mars is about to get the Bud Light treatment. Going woke lost Bud Light’s parent company Anheuser-Busch billions in market cap," said one critic. "Mars has made a huge mistake."

"WTF is this crap on a candy wrapper?" asked another detractor.

Some called for a boycott against the candy brand.

"This is worse than a beer company or even a retailer. This is candy, heavily marketed to children. People can do as they please but when they get into the indoctrination business, it's time for them to be canceled," read another tweet.

Bud Light lost the equivalent of $18 billion in stock valuation after its transgender debacle resulted in the loss of millions of dollars in U.S. sales.

This is the fourth year that Skittles has partnered with GLAAD in order to promote the LGBTQ agenda. In previous years it discolored the candies in order to emphasize the rainbow colors of the LGBTQ movement. It also pledged to donate one dollar to GLAAD from each package sold, up to $100,000.

Corporate support for the LGBTQ movement has taken a turn recently as many activists complain that they aren't getting as much money from companies, and experts see a marked decline in diversity, equity, and inclusion.
