Watch: Driver plows through group of people and into a Taco Bell, injuring three
April 03, 2021
Police said the incident occurred during an argument over an order
A disturbing video has gone viral showing a car being driven into a group of individuals standing outside a Taco Bell and into the restaurant lobby, leaving three people injured.
What are the details?
The footage began circulating earlier this week, and shows a handful of people gathered out front of the fast food joint in an apparent confrontation with whomever was in the vehicle. Yelling is heard, and the car is seen revving toward the group before someone shouts, "Blow that b**** up." The vehicle then plows into the people and through the front of the restaurant.
Warning: Graphic footage
According to The Daily Mail, the incident occurred in Waldorf, Maryland, at little after 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday night.
TMZ reported:
According to Charles County law enforcement, the occupants in the vehicle were in an argument with an employee working the drive-thru before the hit-and-run. Cops say they were told one of the suspects got out and assaulted the employee at the window, then got back in the vehicle.
The driver then allegedly pulled up to the front, which is where the vid picks up. Police say 2 people were treated at the scene for injuries and one was taken to the hospital for injuries that are not life-threatening.
WNBC-TV reported that the driver fled the scene following the crash, and authorities later found the vehicle parked at a house near the Taco Bell. The Charles County Sheriff's Office has not yet identified the suspect in the incident, but investigators are reviewing surveillance footage and wants to hear from any witnesses.
