Yale gender program director says the program helps 'gender-expansive' people ages 3 to 25

In a video that has sparked outrage online, Christy Olezeski, director and co-founder of the Yale Pediatric Gender Program, noted that the Yale gender program involves "working with gender-expansive" people aged 3 to 25, as well as their families.

She said that they assist people "with their gender journey ... thinking through the risks and the benefits of, ah, medical intervention, ah, starting medical intervention, um, and also building supports around them." She also noted, "I love what I do."

The video, which was reportedly posted on the Yale Medicine YouTube channel, is no longer available to view on the platform. "This video is private," a message on YouTube states.

In response to the video, Kelli Ward, chair of the Republican Party of Arizona, commented, "Society has lost its marbles."

"Demonic as hell," BlazeTV host Steve Deace tweeted.

"This is beyond disturbing," another person noted.

As the left continually seeks to advance its radical gender ideology agenda, the media and woke medical institutions use the phrase "gender-affirming" when discussing gender transition measures such as hormones and surgeries — Yale Medicine is also guilty of using this upside-down terminology.

"After the evaluation and when all agree that it is safe, healthy, and appropriate, we offer a variety of medical treatments related to gender affirmation. These may include puberty-blocking treatments, cross-hormone therapies, and gender-affirming surgery (available only for patients aged 18 and older)," according to Yale Medicine.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has said that "woke medicine" poses a massive risk to "social well-being" because the public's trust is being eroded. During an interview with Glenn Beck, DeSantis noted that in the past he automatically had respect for doctors, but he said that now much of "the medical education is going woke. Ideology is really dominating. We saw it all throughout COVID and you see it in this issue," he said in reference to gender transition measures for children.

"If a 14-year-old can't get a tattoo, that child should not be able to take puberty blockers or mutilate their body by getting a sex change," a tweet on the governor's "@GovRonDeSantis" Twitter account declares. "Gender-affirming care is a euphemism for disfiguring kids."
