Corrupt VA official terminated for theft, drunkenness, and bribery just got his job back

Chris Salcedo was livid today on "The Chris Salcedo Show" when he learned that DeWayne Hamlin, the former Veterans Administration director that President Donald Trump terminated for corruption in January, now has his job back.

Hamlin allegedly stole opioids from his own VA facility for personal use, was arrested for driving under the influence, tried to fire an employee who called attention to his arrest, and then tried to bribe her to quit when he found he could not legally fire her.

One year during his tenure at the San Juan VA Medical Center, he received nearly $200,000 despite not showing up to work for a third of the business days.

He appealed to the Merit Systems Protection Board and actually got a job again "because of particulars in his case that remains under active litigation," said VA spokesman James Hutton.

Chris was left wondering how an employee with such an infamous track record is worthy of his tax-payer funded salary when there are veterans unable to receive the care they so desperately need.
