Couple thought they scored Red Hot Chili Peppers tickets -- Red Hot Chilli PIPERS take stage instead
February 16, 2018
Duncan Robb thought he had found bargain tickets to see his girlfriend’s favorite band, the Red Hot Chili Peppers. He bought the tickets as her Christmas present, and the couple living in England made plans to travel to Ireland for the show.
But when his girlfriend double-checked the tickets a few days before the show, they discovered that they were seeing not the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but the Red Hot Chilli Pipers. The group describes itself as “the most famous bagpipe band on the planet.”
Robb and his girlfriend attended the show anyway and enjoyed it, with Robb describing it as an “experience” and expressing his surprise about the variety of songs the bagpipers could play.
Doc had your weekly “Friday Leftovers” on today’s show! In another great story he didn’t get to earlier, a man went to cash in a $600 winning lottery ticket, and the Winn-Dixie clerk handed him $5. The Florida woman planned to pocket the other $595 by turning in the ticket herself, but she was arrested after the man revealed that he was an undercover lottery agent.
