Petulant grads walk out on Pence

Today on "The Chris Salcedo Show," Chris Salcedo was stunned that graduates walked out on Vice President Mike Pence's commencement speech at Notre Dame yesterday.

Student group WeStandforND said in a statement on their website before the commencement:

"Pence’s policies have marginalized our vulnerable sisters and brothers for their religion, skin color, or sexual orientation. We will walk out in silence, with respect for the human dignity of those with whom we disagree and with an invitation to the rest of the community to build an inclusive future together."

Chris criticized the students for not sitting long enough to even hear from someone with an opposing point of view. He tried to imagine how they would have reacted if the same thing had been done to them.

He also wondered how the parents of these graduates must feel, spending tens of thousands of dollars on their education, only to watch them abandon their own commencement ceremony simply because the speaker didn't belong to the party for whom they voted.
