This ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ star has been charged with indecent assault, drug possession

“Dukes of Hazzard” star Tom Wopat was arraigned Thursday on charges of indecent assault and battery and drug possession. What happened for the law to finally catch up to this duke? Doc Thompson and the guys had the details on Friday’s “The Morning Blaze with Doc Thompson.”

Wopat was accused of walking behind and then grabbing a female member of the cast of “42nd Street” during a rehearsal. The Massachusetts theater putting on the production is replacing him with a different actor for the character of Broadway producer Julian Marsh.

Additionally, police found two bags of a white powder appearing to be cocaine during a search of his vehicle on Wednesday. According to court documents, Wopat told police that he buys cocaine "in large quantities and uses it over time,” the Associated Press reported.

Kris Cruz thought that explanation was reasonable. “It’s buying in bulk,” he joked.

“That’s just economically thrifty,” Kal Elsebai added.

Wopat pleaded not guilty and was released on $1,000 bail and told to stay away from the woman he allegedly groped. The actor, who is married to his second wife, Kathy, refused to comment outside court to the AP.
