NEW POLL: People voted for STABILITY, not '#PresidentPoopyPants' and radical change

President Joe Biden's recent meeting with the Pope lasted longer than normal, which resulted in the very unfortunate rumor that the president had a bit of a "bathroom accident" at the Vatican. In no time, #PoopyGate, #PoopyPantsBiden, and #PresidentPoopyPants began trending online. To be clear, there is no evidence to back the claim — which appears to have originated with a Republican on Twitter — but there is a reason why it spread so quickly.

On the radio program, Glenn Beck suggested that the rumor's popularity is demonstrative of how Americans currently feel about our commander in chief. The ridiculousness of the rumor seems "consistent" with his numerous gaffes, odd statements, and behaviors, Glenn said. Combine that with the shocking results of a recent poll, and it's looking more and more like it's not just Republicans with major doubts. Democrats appear to be losing confidence in Biden, too.

An NBC News poll shows that Americans, including a near majority of Democrats, have lost confidence in President Biden. According to the poll, just 22% of adults believe the country is headed in the right direction. A shocking 71% think we're on the wrong track. President Biden's approval rating stands at 42%, versus 54% who disapprove. Just 37% of respondents say they think Biden has the ability right now to handle a crisis, versus 47% who say he does not. And, 37% think Biden is incompetent and ineffective as president.

"People voted for stability and calm. They wanted to go back to normal and that's the way that Joe Biden sold his candidacy," Glenn commented. "That's what independents and some Democrats voted for. They didn't like [Biden.] They weren't for the progressive stuff. They just didn't like Donald Trump's chaos. And what they got, is instability and chaos."
