THESE are the parts of the government Glenn would LOVE to SHUT DOWN

The United States is once again on the verge of a government shutdown, and Glenn Beck is not that concerned.

In fact, there are parts of the government that he wishes would shut down.

“Don’t panic! The Federal Reserve activity will be unaffected. So they could still raise the interest rates on November 1st, no matter what happens,” Glenn says. “The Federal Trade Commission, however, would stop the vast bulk of its competition and consumer protection investigation.”

The Security and Exchange Commission will, however, be affected, to the point that it will not review or approve registrations from investment advisers, broker dealers, transfer agents, rating organizations, investment companies, or municipal advisers.

“What about the FDIC? Do you have information on the FDIC?” Pat Gray asks Glenn.

“No, they still do not have all of it because they’re scrambling for this information,” Glenn says sarcastically.

“They didn’t see this coming,” Stu Burguiere adds, “even though everyone saw it coming.”

The IRS has not released its plans for the potential shutdown. However, previous plans have said that the IRS would use funds from Biden’s Inflation Reduction Act to keep employees paid and working.

“Thank heaven,” Gray mocks.

However, the IRS will still require that individuals who requested a six-month extension on their tax returns in April file by October 16th.

A shutdown would also create an increased risk that FEMA relief funds could be depleted.

“We all know that they’re going to retroactively pass something to pay all of this stuff anyway. It will just basically be an unpaid vacation for many people,” Stu notes.

In addition, the White House is warning that most EPA-led inspections at hazardous waste sites, as well as drinking water and chemical facilities, would stop.

“Wow, so your drinking water could go completely. It’ll stop,” Glenn says.

“It’ll turn to mud,” Gray adds.

However, Glenn isn’t quite concerned.

“Fifteen days to slow the curve of spending,” Glenn says. “Of course, the American people did it for a year, and no one cared about them surviving.”
