Former White House Chief of Staff, Mark Meadows, filed suit against the January 6 Committee, and he joined the Glenn Beck radio program with details.
In this clip, Meadows explained how his original intent was to honor the executive privilege owed to former President Donald J. Trump related to the January 6 committees investigation. But, Meadows said, he eventually realized the House committee would continue to ask for conversations he was not prepared to disclose.
Meadows said it became "very obvious" that the committee would not limit the scope of their search. After the committee issued a subpoena for his cell phone, Meadows decided he would not voluntarily participate in the deposition.
Glenn asked Meadows to explain why presidential privilege is so important.
