BEN SHAPIRO to Trump: If you're watching CNN and they have happy faces on, do this

Ben Shapiro joined Glenn Beck today to weigh-in on the FBI's raid on the offices of President Donald Trump's longtime lawyer, Michael Cohen.

"If you were the judge and they came to you and said we have to go for a raid on [Trump's] attorney, would you okay it?" Glenn asked Shapiro, who is a lawyer in addition to being the editor-in-chief of The Daily Wire and host of "The Ben Shapiro Show."

"You have to imagine the magistrate judge sees this application come across his desk and he goes 'Holy crap! I'm gonna be signing off on an application to search communications between the president and his personal attorney ... this had better be solid gold. I'd better require the evidentiary standard for this warrant to be higher than any evidentiary standard for any warrant I have ever issued,'" answered Shapiro.

Watch the clip above to hear the rest of the discussion, including Ben's amusing-but-probably-accurate advice for President Trump regarding the investigation:

"The best thing that Trump can do at this point is just keep his mouth shut because every time he says anything about Mueller, the Democrats start thinking obstruction of justice .... Here, I think, would be a good rule of thumb for the president: If you're watching CNN and they have happy faces on, it's time for you to be quiet. If you're watching CNN and they have sad faces on, then keep talking."
