Bill O’Reilly: Obamacare is ‘an income redistribution scheme’ and needs full repeal

Behind the political talking points, the Affordable Care Act is simply taking money from some Americans and giving it to others, Bill O’Reilly said on Friday’s “The Glenn Beck Radio Program.” The long-time TV commentator said he would support a simple repeal of the Affordable Care Act with a two-year window for implementation.

“The Obamacare legislation is an income redistribution scheme,” O’Reilly said. “It’s taking money out of the pockets of working Americans, anybody making more than $75K, and putting it into the pockets of people who don’t have a lot.”

On Monday, Sens. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) blocked the GOP health care bill in the Senate, with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying the next move will be for the Senate to vote on an earlier House bill that repealed Obamacare in a staggered two-year process.

The next expected move on health care is a vote on Tuesday. Senate Republicans reportedly still don’t know if they will be voting on a standalone repeal of the ACA or a repeal bill that also includes a replacement for Obamacare.
