Glenn: Our culture is awash in fear -- here's what happens if we don't overcome it

Glenn Beck described "group think" to the Think Tank on today's "Glenn." He took to the chalkboard to explain that the United States as a whole is suffering from chaos right now. We all sense that something is changing and not feeling right.

As an example, Glenn asked "How many genders do we have?" That no one would immediately answer "two" is a sign that culture has changed dramatically.

Glenn asserted that the election of Donald Trump was a response to the fear that we’re losing Western culture, that we don't recognize "us" any more. The country did the same thing when electing Barack Obama with his "hope and change" platform.

He asked the panel how we should break into fear, because once the human brain experiences fear, reason shuts off.

Brandon Morse suggested an individualist society rather than groups trying to get the government to take care of their group's needs. Shrinking government would make Americans smarter, more self reliant, and less afraid.

Glenn said that was a start, but we have to take into account the evolutionary process of human brain. We immediately group up when we’re afraid, so it is almost biologically impossible to ask individualism out of fearful people.
