It would seem that our nation has a problem with responsibility. We've mastered the art of assigning blame: it was the NRA's fault, the gun's fault, the media's fault, and so on. But while we busy ourselves with pointing fingers and demanding that the government "do something," our constitutional rights as Americans may be slipping away right under our noses.
On today's show, Glenn Beck uncovered the way politicians have turned the blame-game-tables around and have decided they know just where the blame lies. It's not the gun, it's you. It's not the press, it's you. And if our nation's leaders can't trust "we the people" to act responsibly, then they'll just take away our civil rights and liberties.
"I don't think we've really noticed how the tables have been turned on us, or maybe perhaps we don't care," said Glenn. "When we get panicked and demand that 'something' be done to fix the problem, the solutions often end up violating something that we know nothing about anymore: the Bill of Rights."
