Austin, TX has become ground zero for the battle over sanctuary cities. The newly-elected sheriff of Travis County, Sally Hernandez, has vowed to limit her cooperation with customs officials. Texas Governor Greg Abbott, not taking her vow lightly, responded by saying his office will cut funding and enact other, stiffer penalties against Travis County for adopting sanctuary city policies.
