Barbara Bush died Tuesday evening at her home in Houston at the age of 92. She is remembered not only as the wife of the 41st president and the mother of the 43rd but also as a fierce, funny, outspoken and memorable part of our history in her own right.
On today's show, Glenn remembered meeting the Bush family and shared a special story about Barbara Bush.
"This woman was steel," he said. "She knew who she was, she knew what she wanted and ... make no mistake, even in a house with two presidents, she was still the boss."
Survived by five children, 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, Barbara Bush left a legacy as an advocate for literacy and other charitable causes.
