WATCH: Independent Senate candidate Shiva Ayyadurai assaulted at town hall for Elizabeth Warren
July 24, 2018
Shiva Ayyadurai, an Independent running against Democratic U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren, was assaulted by a liberal at a town hall on Sunday in Massachusetts. Ayyadurai was standing outside the Great Barrington venue with a bullhorn when an older man wearing a T-shirt with the word "Liberal" printed on the front of it shoved the horn into Ayyadurai's mouth while shouting numerous profanities at him and his supporters.
Following the attack, the man was subdued and charged with battery and assault. The man was scheduled to appear in court on Monday.
Ayyadurai joined Doc Thompson and Kris Cruz for an interview where it was revealed that he suffered several broken teeth and required a root canal following the attack. Ayyadurai was also thoroughly surprised that the man who assaulted him wasn't denounced by Elizabeth Warren and was allowed back into her town hall.
