What’s going on?
Students who survived the shooting last week in Parkland, Florida are speaking out in favor of gun control.
How are they taking action?
Five students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where a shooter murdered 17 people last Wednesday, have announced a demonstration in Washington, D.C. next month.
Conservatives should keep their criticism to the people who are using these students to promote a “one-sided conversation” about guns. On today's show, Glenn criticized those who are using the students, their grief and their understandably emotional appeal for gun control as part of an agenda.
“If you are mocking the teenagers … you’re moronic, stop it,” Glenn said. “Kids want new gun control laws, and that’s because they’re reeling from the horrific murders at their school.”
As for the media, “they’re only interested in the ‘right’ kind of activism,” Glenn said. “They don’t care that last month, thousands of teenagers participated in the March for Life in Washington.”
