Watch: Sole survivor of Granite Mountain Hotshots mission talks ‘Only the Brave’
October 20, 2017
“Only the Brave” is a movie based on the true story of the Granite Mountain Hotshots, an elite group of firefighters who lost 19 men in the tragic 2013 Yarnell Hill Fire.
Surviving member Brendan McDonough shared his fire-fighting experience and talked about the movie’s faithful version of real-life events on today’s show.
"I think this film is phenomenally accurate," he said. "How the cast just really from day one took a huge responsibility to do this right. It really shines throughout this film."
