A 25-year-old man who suffers from depression was found at the bottom of deep well after having spent two days 30-feet below the ground. Video from Fox Houston describes the rescue:
Kevin Gonterman is lucky to be alive. Rescuers said the temperature at the bottom of the hole was 10 to 15 degrees cooler than above ground, likely to be the only reason why Kevin was able survive. The man suffered multiple snake bites and was scared and delusional when found. He is listed in stable condition at a Houston hospital.
It is not clear at this time how Gonterman ended up in the hole.
