It's the year to screw up the National Anthem on important days. Lauren Alaina from American Idol did it on Thanksgiving. She performed the "Star Spangled Banner" at the Green Bay Packers-Detroit Lions NFL football game and 16 seconds in, she fumbled it.
Alaina may find comfort that she didn't mess it up during this year's Super Bowl as Christina Aguilera did. Or, worse, the 10th anniversary of 9/11 a la Cyndi Lauper.
