Fox host confronts Santorum for saying network 'shills' for Romney

As we reported yesterday, GOP presidential hopeful Rick Santorum vented to Fox News' Brian Kilmeade that his network "shills" for Mitt Romney.

"[Romney] has Fox News shilling for him every day — no offense, Brian, but I see it — and yet, he can‘t seal the deal because he just doesn’t have the goods to be able to motivate the Republican base and win this election," a frustrated Santorum said.

On Tuesday evening, FNC's Greta van Susteren confronted Santorum about his Fox criticism with a “good-hearted jab.”  In reply, Santorum softened his criticism, reassuring Greta that she and Sean Hannity have been "exemplar."

“I’m not going to be whining about this, it’s the reality,” he added.  “We’ve overcome a lot in this race and we’re on our way to victory tonight, we’re on our way to victory in this election."
