Former President George H.W. Bush has been in a Houston hospital for more than a month, receiving treatment for complications resulting from bronchitis. His condition kept him away from home on Christmas and the 88-year-old was admitted to the intensive care unit on Wednesday due to a "series of setbacks."
While Bush Sr. was still in the ICU, local Dallas radio station WBAP apparently received faulty information that the 41st president of the United States had died. The station sent a breaking news alert via email announcing his death.

The only problem is, Bush Sr. is still alive and kicking. His spokesman Jim McGrath told the Associated Press to "put the harps back in the closet," providing some optimism on his condition.
An embarrassed WBAP immediately recognized the error in its message and quickly sent a correction.
"A message erroneously reporting the death of President George H.W. Bush was sent out moments ago by WBAP News," the message read. "Mr. Bush has not passed away. We sincerely apologize for this error."
