The Center for Security Policy, headed by frequent Blaze guest Frank Gaffney, recently hosted a symposium on “The Legacy of FDR’s Normalization of Relations with the USSR,” the official diplomatic agreement of which occurred 80 years ago on November 16th.
Headlining the discussion were familiar faces including the author of American Betrayal: The Secret Assault on Our Nation's Character and Blaze contributor Diana West, and M. Stanton Evans, KGB historian par excellence and author of titles including Blacklisted by History: The Untold Story of Senator Joe McCarthy and His Fight Against America's Enemies and Stalin's Secret Agents: The Subversion of Roosevelt's Government.
The discussion echoed the central premise of West’s American Betrayal, as examined recently on the Glenn Beck program (see video below), that the infiltration and subversion of jihadists in civil society and government, and the whitewashing and tarnishing of anti-jihadists today mirrors that which occurred during World War II as related to the Communist threat.
