A dip into the pool reports: onions

From a White House pool report filed by USA Today's David Jackson, who was following the Obama family Wednesday as they assisted operations at a food bank in Washington, D.C.:

The Obama family - the president, first lady Michelle Obama, and daughters Malia and Sasha - operated at the one of the food stations scattered across the floor. People lined up at each of the stations.

The president's job: filling small plastic bags with onions, and placing them in paper grocery bags held by the folks filing past.
