Surprise 'SNL' Sketch Featuring De Niro, Goodman & Stallone As the 'Three Wise Guys' Is Clever
December 15, 2013
Legendary actors Robert De Niro, John Goodman and Sylvester Stallone made a surprise appearance as the "three wise guys" on "Saturday Night Live" this weekend.
The skit, playing off the story of the Three Wise Men who traveled to visit the baby Jesus in Bethleham, followed a "lesser fable about three lesser men who followed soon after."
"They weren't from the far East, but rather from the east coast," scrolling letters on the screen said before the sketch.
Watch the 'SNL' sketch:
After some debate in TheBlaze newsroom, the headline of this story has been updated to reflect that while the sketch was clever, it may not have been "genius."
