Abubakar Shekau who heads Nigeria’s Boko Haram terrorist group that seeks to establish Sharia law in the African nation released a video on Saturday in which he said that Allah says that Islamic fighters in Nigeria must decapitate and mutilate their victims.

According to an Associated Press report on the new tape, Shekau claimed responsibility for an attack on a Nigerian government tank battalion barracks on Dec. 20. He said the insurgents would have eaten their enemies, but Allah forbids cannibalism.

The terrorist group leader also had a warning for Christians, telling them not to attend church services during the holy month.

According to the AP, five churches were bombed on Christmas Day of 2011.

On the tape, Shekau scoffed at the bounties that have been placed on his head – including a $7 million reward from the State Department’s Rewards for Justice program for information leading to his location.
