Bret Baier answers whether he has regrets on 2010 Obama interview

A more memorable moment in Fox News history is the contentious interview anchor Bret Baier conducted in 2010 with President Obama. The most frequent criticism of it (some positive, some negative) was of Baier's repeated interruptions of Obama.

Obama himself acknowledged the cut offs at the time.

Baier, who is marking his fifth year anchoring "Special Report," reflected on the back-and-forth in an interview with Mediaite.

“It came to a point where I was either going to interrupt him and say, ‘Excuse me’ and get an answer, or I was going to not get anything out of that interview as far as substance of what was in the bill,” Baier said. “Would I do anything differently? Maybe. But I look back on it and think, in the moment, it’s what I needed to do.”
