After actor John Travolta destroyed Idina Menzel's name on Sunday night's Oscars telecast, the Slate.com posted something they call the "Adele Dazeem Name Generator." The little bit of online magic offers to Travoltafy your name.
We had a few free minutes this morning, so we tested the system.
Putting "TheBlaze" into the Travoltification engine, our site was renamed, Todd Borfes.

That spurred us to wonder -- What would the magic widget do with the name of our owner and CEO, Glenn Beck?

We sincerely doubt that "Grace Blork" will catch on as Glenn's new nickname.
By the way, through his publicist -- and posted on Today.com, Travolta has issued a statement that slightly resembles an apology. “I’ve been beating myself up all day. Then I thought, ‘What would Idina Menzel say?’ She’d say, ‘Let it go, let it go!’
The big winner in all of this is Idina Menzel. There gave been endless news reports about the flub, but those stories typically include glowing comments about the Menzel's voice. The singer has appeared in a now-viral clip with Jimmy Fallon and tonight Menzel kicks off previews for "If / Then" a new Broadway musical that officially opens at the end of the month.
For the record, this writer wondered if the Travoltafying engine would create something magical with Mike Opelka. It did not.
