Though some might not consider its icy and austere landscape the most hospitable, flying over Greenland's glaciers and fjords makes for stunning footage from a fighter jet's point-of-view.
John Kristensen with the Danish Air Force took a GoPro camera on this recent mission over the ice rim east of Kangerlussuaq, a fjord near Illuissat and the town where explorer Knud Rasmussen was born.
So while, you might choose more bathing suit-friendly locations for your next vacation, at least enjoy the beauty of Greenland's landscape in Kristensen's video of the low-level flight. You might even see some greenery on the country that was notoriously named to fool people about its most typical climate:
