'He Shouldn't Wait!': This Conservative Wants Obama to Bomb Iraq — With or Without Congressional Go-Ahead

"There’s a huge amount of bombing and damage that could be done to ISIS tomorrow if the president orders it.”

Bill Kristol, editor of the conservative Weekly Standard, may have his differences with President Barack Obama, but on ABC's "This Week" Sunday, he made it clear that he wants the president to strike the growing Islamic State — whether or not Congress says he can.

“I would like a little overreaction by the President now,” Kristol said.

While he said that Obama "should go to Congress right away to get authorization," Kristol also urged the president to take whatever unilateral actions he can.

"He’s acting under the War Powers Act, and he shouldn’t wait," Kristol said. "He shouldn’t wait! There’s a huge amount of bombing and damage that could be done to ISIS [the Islamic State] tomorrow if the president orders it.”
